| New York Performance ~Prayer for Tranquillity~ |
| was held |
We, the Matsushita Chuo Chorus, have travelled to the United State from Saturday September 17 through Friday September 23 to joined the New York Symphonic Ensemble in two New York City performances.
The purpose of the performance is to pray for the world wide peace, and to pay our tribute to the memory of the victims of 9/11 terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina. For that purpose, we invited NYPD policemen and NYFD firefighters who have lost their colleagues in the world trade center building collapsed by the terrorist attack.
Fortunately, we could receive a standing ovation in all three concerts we performed to finish our tour in big success.
It was great honor for us to perform Mozart's Requiem in Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, one of the most splendid concert hall in the world. Based on our rare and valuable experiences, we wish to expand and gain our musical performances.
The tour report will be comming soon. |
